The Center has been working with the National Association of Nigeria Traders to build the capacity of smallholder farmers and traders to engage policy officials and politicians and make their voices heard at government levels for business incentives. This programme has already reached these stakeholders in Imo, Delta and Oyo states in the first phase. It has also trained the farmers and traders in Kaduna, Katsina states and the FCT. In these areas, farmers are shown how to generate information from their members operations to prepare the quality report for engaging with government officials at any level.
