THE ECOWAS Commission held its Regional Workshop on Formulation of Specific Mobilizing Projects on Youth Employability in the Agro-sylvo-pastoral and fisheries Sector in Ougadougou, Burkina Faso, from July Monday July 29, 2019 to August 2nd, 2019.

The highly intensive project development and assessment, sponsored by the Swiss Cooperation Agency, under the ECOWAS Regional Agency for Agriculture and Food (RAAF), had twelve regional farmers’ organizations working in the area of agricultural, silvo-pastoral and fisheries sector, with a special focus on youth and women development. The event was opened by the Minister of Agriculture. The key exercise was the preparation of outreach programmes for the contribution of Regional Farmers Organizations, to the implementation of the regional strategy to support youth employability in the agro-sylvo-pastoral and fisheries sector in the ECOWAS region
Mr. Innocent Azih, The Founder of Center for Agriculture and Climate Change was one of the Consultants of the regional organizations.
